The DEVPORT project (www.devport.fr) brings together searchers belonging to different laboratories and universities. Its aim is to initiate the constitution of a network which will contribute to promote those research areas in the academic sphere but also in the maritime and port world. The scientific contents of the DEVPORT project is structured around two axes:

• The first concerns the adaptation of the economic actors of the maritime, logistic and port environment to the unpredictable effects of globalization.
• The second axe tends to analyze patterns of port organization recognizable in foreign contexts and to confront them to the specific case of the urban and port area of Seine Axis.
